Abstract :
We proposed and analyzed an amplified self-coherent detection scheme by extracting and amplifying the optical carrier in an optical OFDM receiver. Simulation results exhibit about 6-dB OSNR sensitivity improvement over traditional direct-detected OFDM receiver.
