Software outsourcing in beijing: Basics, trends and implications

The majority of software and information service outsourcing enterprises in Beijing, one of the biggest markets in China, were investigated by questionnaire and face-to-face survey in this study. The scale of business size, capability and the status of human resources were estimated. The status, trends, and existent barriers of the outsourcing industrial development were investigated and compared with those of other countries having interrelated business with China. The results show that the tempo of software outsourcing industry is growing rapidly in Beijing as a whole, but there are still some barriers for walking up into international market. Based on the investigations, the authors give some advises to Beijing´s software outsourcing industry development.
