Abstract :
The investigations were carried out on polyethylene film and polypropylene film under various conditions which affect the deterioration of the synthetic film, such as different values of AC voltage, temperature and pressure of SF/sub 6/. For comparison, this same test program was carried out with the samples located in air. Some of the samples had the modulated interlayer structure of voltage transformer structure. The results suggest that the O/sub 2/ in SF/sub 6/ or on the film surface determines the speed of the destruction. Various conclusions are presented.<>
