Abstract :
A test chamber with one hard wall is described for use as a test facility for car-radio-speaker engineering. A measurement with an uncalibrated microphone located very close to the loudspeaker cone gives a considerable amount of engineering information. A case history of audio system development for a luxury sedan is given. Results show that measurements made in a simulated piston-in-a-plane environment are adequate
