  • Abstract
The design of the perfect robust servomechanism controller introduced by Davison-Scherzinger (1987) is treated anew by using a singular perturbation approach and multivariable root-loci approach in the frequency domain. It is shown that the complexity of the perfect controller required to solve the robust servomechanism problem is solely a function of the infinite transmission zeros of the plant, and other related high frequency plant parameters
