Abstract
In this paper a new approach is proposed to optimal stabilization of decentralized systems from practical considerations. The principle of the proposed method is based on elimination of fixed modes. The method is optimal in the sense that the feedback controller structure has the minimum cost in the station-to-station communication and the least channel numbers of the controller patterns as well. A numerical example is included to demonstrate the proposed method. The result shows its validity and applicability
