Abstract
A discussion is presented of the human brain, the model from which the artificial neural systems (ANS) are derived, and some basic learning strategies are examined. A brief overview of artificial neural systems is presented, and some applications of these systems to spacecraft power subsystems diagnostic problems are proposed. It is noted that there are still many unanswered questions and very few hardware implementations of these networks, and that standard chip sets are virtually nonexistent
