Abstract :
This paper introduces an original circuit that virtually eliminates body diode conduction in switching power electronics circuits. A brief discussion of the harmful effects of body diode conduction and recovery is presented. A new pinch-off circuit is proposed which consists of an additional switch and a delay function. Experimental data show improved performance with lower output noise and lower component stresses.
