Abstract :
Contact-less power transference by means of magnetic coupling is a very suitable for powering moving objects: the lack of wires between the power source and the load avoids possible obstacles to the free movement of the load. In this paper a contact-less power supply for a low power moving load (less that 1 W) is analysed. The design and modelling process of the magnetic component is described and all the theoretical results are compared with measurements. A prototype of the power supply has also been built and tested.
