Abstract :
A comprehensive calibration procedure for MIMO system is proposed. This technique is able to eliminate effects of the following three unwanted components from MIMO measurement data, i.e. multiple transmitters characteristic, multiple receivers characteristic, and mutual coupling in array antenna elements. The numerical simulation proves that there is an improvement in the DOA estimator employing the proposed calibration technique compared with that employing conventional calibration or without any calibration.
