Abstract :
Development and environmental protection constitute an organic whole. In China, it is in the stage of rapid development of society, China is faced with many environmental problems, improving the level of the ecological environment monitoring and management is particularly important. Because of the technical limitations of the traditional environmental monitoring and management, it can not adapt to the rapid settlement of a wide range of regional eco-environmental problems, and ecological and environmental protection, so major obstacle is encountered in the data collection, dynamic tracking, information processing and analysis for ecological environment monitoring. However, remote sensing technology has predominances such as being able to monitor a wide range with high speed, better anti-interference on bad climate, etc., so it is very favorable for addressing the protection of the environment. In this paper, the remote sensing information system of ecological environment and its functions are introduced, the important role about remote sensing technology in the eco-environmental management and protection is expounded. The development status about the use of remote sensing in ecological environment protection at home and abroad is analyzed, and the initial tentative plan about the construction of the remote sensing information systems of ecological environment is put forward.
