Abstract :
A computer-assisted learning technique is presented, by which the student can implement the Smith chart on a PC, and learn how to utilize it in solving propagation and transmission line problems. The method is based upon the analytic geometry approach, which allows implementation of the chart on the computer even without any prior knowledge of its relevant theoretical basis. All that is needed is a fairly good knowledge of computer programming and pertinent graphics techniques.<>
