Abstract :
New software for determining attenuation by rain and snow has been developed which is suitable for the 0.1-10-cm microwave range. For rainfall, when a user inputs wavelength following the computer´s instructions only, the user gets attenuation for precipitation rates and temperatures. For snowfall, when a user inputs the wavelength, the computer gives attenuations for 10 types of snow at a 0.6mm/10min precipitation rate.<>
