Abstract
A novel deconvolution method is described and tested experimentally with sandwiched polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) foils which are prepared with a priori known polarization distributions. The experimental results show that it is possible to determine about eight Fourier coefficients of the polarization distribution from a measured spectrum. Measuring the pyroelectric current with the modulation frequency varied over several orders of magnitude together with the deconvolution method permitted characterization and verification of the Fourier coefficients individually in the spectrum
