Abstract
In order to revive the flagging traditional craft industry, it is important to pass down to future generations information and knowledge about past technical innovations. With this in mind, in this study we apply a systems methodology for knowledge integration and creation called "the i-System" to try to collect and organize information and knowledge about technical innovations. The results of the study indicates that this method is useful for down to future generations information and knowledge about past technical innovations, and that it would support future research and development activities. In order for this support to be as efficient as possible,we propose a database system based on the results ot this study.
