  • Abstract
In this work we address the problem of angle estimation in a wideband array when sidelobe interference is present. We assume a typical monopulse radar system and consider two adaptive estimation techniques, the maximum likelihood (ML) approach and an approximate ML solution called the generalized adaptive multidimensional monopulse algorithm (GAMMA). We extend these techniques for a wideband array with both a tapped delay line architecture and a frequency subbanding architecture. Performance is compared to a conventional monopulse processor operating in an interference free environment and to the Cramer-Rao lower bound
