Title :
120 VDC power systems for Columbus space programme
Author_Institution :
AEG AG, Holstein, West Germany
Abstract :
A brief description of the three different Columbus elements is followed by a presentation of the main requirements to the electrical power system (EPS). The main part of the work is dedicated to the actual technical concepts, covering such aspects as effective utilization of solar array power, energy storage, power distribution and power management. A summary of areas which require further efforts prior to or during the first phase of hardware development is given
