Abstract
An efficient approach to estimation of Fresnel zone fields of electrically large aperture antennas is presented. The equivalent surface current or aperture field distribution is first expanded in Fourier-Bessel series. Fresnel zone fields within a small angle region are then expanded in Taylor or Laurent series according to where the observer is located.<>
