Abstract
To a high channel count detector system, the parallel multi-channel readout and digitization front-end electronics is always a challenge. TODT is a potential effective scheme which linearly converts the nuclear pulse amplitude into TODT time width. The pulse amplitude digitizing is then realized by measuring the time width. The key technique in TODT scheme is dynamic threshold (DT) generation. In this paper, we propose a new idea using an analog circuit to generate the DT curve by emulating the signal detection process. The test result confirms that the analog solution is precise, simple and flexible. With the analog solution, the TODT scheme is rather practicable, not only with high digitizing performance, but also with simple system design, low cost and high integration.
