  • Abstract
    In this paper a concept, architecture and implementation of a device cloud platform is presented. Proposed device cloud, through a secure application programming interface (API), enables the creation of various Internet of Things applications, among which TV control application and energy consumption monitoring application for the home were implemented and evaluated. Some of the main contributions compared to the state-of-the-art are automatic device identification and profiling, cloud API customizability, scalability of device data models and load balancing within the cloud.
