Abstract :
Li-ion cells battery is widely used in portable electronic devices with its advantages including high output voltage, high capacity, long service life and no memory effect. High-performance charge circuits based on Li-ion battery can not only improve the charge efficiency but also guarantee the safety of the electronic devices. A charge circuit for 2-series Li-ion cells battery based on ASC8512 was presented. A PCB for charge circuit was designed and the performance of the PCB was tested. The experimental results indicate that this charge circuit can complete the charge task for 2-series Li-ion cells battery and features high charge current and high charge efficiency.
