Abstract :
We analyze the applicability of an advanced blind code acquisition scheme for the wide band code division multiple access system operating in a relatively fast fading channel. For this analysis we have selected a subspace based code acquisition algorithm and the performance is analyzed by evaluating the probability of acquisition error for the selected advanced code acquisition scheme. The results are compared with the conventional sliding correlator based code acquisition scheme. It shows that the subspace-based algorithm can improve the code acquisition performance of the system especially under heavy multiple access interference conditions.
