Abstract :
To overcome the defects of the current absolute optical encoders, a novel linear optical encoder with absolute imaging position is designed and constructed. Experimental analyses have been made in a special test system, and experiment results show that the novel linear optical encoder has submicron measurement accuracy, well reliability, high image collection frequency and lower manufacture cost.
