Abstract :
The distance relation reasoning method in random direction is put forward, aiming at conquering the limitation of only processing the same direction distance reasoning in the former distance relation reasoning system. The RCC-8 is extended to RCC-9 by subdividing relation, and the coarse granularity qualitative distance relation is consequently amalgamated. On the above basis, the classical combinatorial table reasoning based cone-shaped distance relation is added. Then a method for the realization of combinatorial reasoning for relations such as topology, direction and distance is advanced by using CHR (constraint handler rules). An instance of residential area is applied using the reasoning program.
