  • Abstract
This research contributes to the development of γ- and n- diagnostics for systems with magnetic plasma confinement: ITER and linear traps like GOL-3 and GDT at the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics. It requires γ- and n-spectrometers with: the hardware energy resolution less then 3% in the energy range from 0.01 to 10 MeV; the counting rate up to ~ 1-10 Mcps (pile-up separation); on-line composition of energy spectrum. The implemented method of separation of pile-up is based on the formation of the short output pulse with the amplitude proportional to the γ-ray energy. The detector signal is digitized with a sampling rate of 250 MHz by a 14-bit ADC, and then passed through a digital filter (trapezoidal, triangular or modified cusp-like), which separates pile-up. The auto-increment memory forms the y-rays energy spectrum. It is transmitted with frequency of 1 Hz through the Ethernet-10/100 controller to the PC to show and analyze it. All digital units of this spectrometer are implemented in the FPGA.
