Abstract
This paper deals with Petri net model reconfiguration of discrete manufacturing systems. A technique for model transformation is proposed as a base of a fault recovery strategy; this novel technique is based on the structural redundancies of the model. A set of sub-models derived from t-invariants together with a XOR composition operation form an abelian group allowing adapting the model to new operation conditions issued from faults, and returning to the original model when the fault is repaired. A fault recovery scheme using reconfiguration is briefly discussed.
