Abstract :
In this paper, the capacity of the filtered multitone modulation system is analyzed. It is shown that characteristics of the prototype filter are the main factors which influence the system capacity. Design strategies of the prototype filter are presented. Simulation results show that the achievable bit rate of the system could get 10 Mbps without channel coding over 802.11a wireless channel.
