Abstract :
As a general observation, the United States Regional Bell Operating Companies are aggressively moving to a “virtual enterprise” structure along with many other American corporations. Employees are given new processes and new tools to use as they work in large “mega-centers”, remote locations or from their home. All of these changes present a challenge to addressing human resource development and this paper discusses how training will be accomplished in the new virtual organization
