Title :
A systems approach for technology assessment and selection
Author :
Demirkiran, Z.K.
Abstract :
Simple and qualitative methods are selected for the assessment phases focusing on the interaction of system elements. The selection of alternatives phase gives flexibility to shape the program according to limitations specific to the program. Critical technology identification needs to be followed by a decision process in which all shareholders contribute. UAV communication system case was presented in the paper. The model needs to be applied to more cases and systems with different complexities. As a future work an automated technology evaluation program can be developed. For the selection phase multi-goal programming can be applied.
