A 3D Notice Board Metaphor for Visualizing,Categorizing, and Sharing Learning Objects

This paper illustrates a new metaphor for publishing and sharing Learning Objects Metadata (LOM) across P2P search environments. The metaphor allows the learners to publish a group of Learning Objects (LO) with certain tags. The shared information is augmented by the presentation and organization style. The style communicates both the individual user´s perception and insights about a collection of LOM information. The prototype focuses not only on sharing the LOMs under certain user mapped tags but it also addresses the sharing of a user´s view and perception about a set of multimedia resources.
