Abstract
The authors discuss the development and PC-implementation of a stochastic synthesis method for the radiometric imaging of the Earth surface one-dimensional millimeter-wave radiometric data and synchronous aerial photographs based on the linear integral image transformation. Statistical processing of experimental data showed that the cross correlation coefficient between radio and optical images of macroscopic earth surface area amounts to 0.7-0.9 over a year. It follows that the radio image may be approximately described using the corresponding optical image because of their correlation. Results obtained using this procedure are presented.<>
