Abstract :
The control model of earth pressure in shield tunneling operation is proposed based on mass conservation law and deformation characteristic of muck in pressurized chamber. PID neural network is applied to control earth pressure in pressurized chamber of shield. The laboratory test for shield tunneling was performed. The experimental data show that the proposed control model and algorithm are effective. The earth pressure in pressurized chamber of shield can be effectively controlled by adjusting rotating speed of screw conveyor.
