Abstract :
Important geometrical characteristics of the superquadric apertures including a closed-form expression for the area are presented. Applying appropriate parameterization, one can partition the superquadric aperture into subregions that exactly match the superquadric boundary. This property facilitates accurate diffraction analysis of rounded rectangular reflectors. Representative results of physical optics analysis for superquadric reflector antennas are presented, and key features of the radiation pattern are summarized.<>
