Abstract
A number of antenna concepts with switched reconfigurability are reviewed, and their possible extension using orthogonal-beam concept is discussed. These antenna systems require that several beams be optimized simultaneously. New system-based isolation specifications show that also other antenna systems with multiple contoured beams can be improved if the beams are optimized simultaneously.<>
