            Abstract :
The authors describe an innovative implementation of the matrix equations of N. Hill and S. Cornbleet (1973), which facilitates the use of the microwave transmission line CAD (computer-aided design) program Touchstone. Measured data for a four-grating, 6.0-18.0 GHz, 45/spl deg/ twist-grid polarizer which was optimized for incidence angles up to 27/spl deg/ elevation and 9/spl deg/ azimuth are presented. N. Marcuvitz´s (1986) equations for capacitive and inductive metallic strip gratings were incorporated into the model. The optimized polarizer parameters are given.<>
