Abstract
It has been a very persistent observation by the decision makers in the software industry that the software engineers generally lack the required soft skills needed by the industry. In this paper, the main objective is to identify a sizeable and relevant set of required soft skills and drill down to understand their relative importance as well as their relationships with each other. All this is based on how these attributes are perceived by the managers operating in the industry, and are analyzed using the repertory grid technique and data mining
