Abstract :
A DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) data forwarding system based on Bluetooth technology was designed and implemented. The system demodulates DAB data and then forwards the data via Bluetooth. A media player device with Bluetooth interface can then detect and receive the data to play the sound in real time. The solution provides an easy way to add DAB playing function on the media player devices without modifying their hardware. The whole system was built and tested. The test results showed that the data can be correctly transferred at up to 128 kbps bit rate and the audio quality was good and smooth.
