Abstract :
This paper adopt the fuzzy-logic control algorithm to construct a regulator for the conventional PI controller of the series side of UPFC, and its proportion and integration coefficients are regulated adaptively by the fuzzy-logic regulator. The error and error variation of the active power flow and reactive power flow are taken as the inputs of the regulator. Based on a 15 kVA UPFC equipment steady-state tests results, the fuzzifying and defuzzifying coefficients are gets, and the fuzzy rules are inferred by the fuzzy relationship. Integrating the defuzzied output signals into the conventional PI controller, the mathematical model of the fuzzy-logic self-adaptive PI controller is get. The simulations and tests results demonstrate the controller studied in this paper can improve the performance both for the steady and transient state of the controlled power systems.
