Abstract :
Due to the nonlinearity, the strong coupling and the frequent random disturbance during the AC smelting process of electrical-fused magnesia (EFM) furnace, a controller is designed to solve the control problem of electrodes rising and dropping based on fuzzy control algorithm. The fuzzy controller decides the positions of three-phase electrodes (TPE) and the scope of their actions. The industrial application results indicate that the control method can meet the requirements of TPE currents errors which are stable in a prospective error range and it also shows that the approach is rational, feasible and practicable.
