Abstract :
Recent development of multi-robots and wireless sensor network technologies have lead to the emergence of distributed wireless sensor and actor networks. This kind of hybrid network can not only observe the environment, processing the event data, making decisions based on special event, but also more important, it can perform appropriate actions to interact with the environment. The survey of the recent researches on wireless sensor and actor network was given in the paper, mainly about research situations and important research topics which are architecture; coordinate mechanism among sensors and actors; communication protocol and application research based on WSANs. This paper explores research challenges for coordination and communication problems, and the future research directions of WSAN are raised then.
