Abstract
In this work, a nonoverlapping clock generator, or two-phase clock generator, is demonstrated using emitter-coupled differential pairs for use in BiCMOS switched-capacitor circuit applications. The master clock signal first enters an integrator circuit which generates a triangular wave. Simultaneously, an inverse copy of the triangular wave is also generated. Each triangular wave enters a bipolar emitter-coupled comparator circuit with identical reference voltages. The single-ended outputs of the comparator circuits are the nonoverlapping clock signals. This concept has been verified experimentally.
