Abstract :
As an application of the BEM (boundary element method) to unbounded multiconductor, multimedia problems, the radiation patterns of a dielectric planar antenna loaded with metallic strips are computed. The computation is done for both the near-field and the far-field patterns. The nodes which should be given to all radiating surfaces are terminated at certain points on the antenna back surface in the numerical computation in order to reduce node numbers. The complete radiation patterns are computed by one generalized BEM approach without paying any particular attention to near-fields/far-fields or to wide-angle/main-beam fields.<>
