Abstract
The diffraction effects appearing in the case of fundamental H/sub 10/ mode scattering on a periodic system consisting of dielectric parallelepipeds turned in the waveguide H-plane to equal absolute value angles are considered. A heuristic method of computing the resonance frequencies of such a parallelepiped is presented. The principles of designing frequency-selection devices on the basis of quasi-H/sub 102/ and quasi-H/sub 201/ coupled resonances are discussed. A way to form the amplitude-frequency characteristics of iterative band-pass filters, designed on the basis of the structures presented is described.<>
