Abstract :
The principal disadvantage of employing an array feed is the limited feed bandwidth, which requires a cost-effective solution to array implementation. For this reason the authors consider a simple two-ring array requiring only two real excitation coefficients. Each element on a ring is excited uniformly, and the two rings are excited out of phase and at different levels. The authors evaluate the effects of element spacing, and demonstrate the effects of both systematic and random errors.<>
