Abstract
Internet system is essentially a delay system. Large delay brings bad influence to the performance of internet. A new Active Queue Management Algorithm - Smith-NPID is designed by combining Smith predictor with single Neuron PID. This algorithm overcomes the negative impact on the queue stability caused by large delay, and can enhance the learning and adaptive ability of system.
