Abstract :
The future of e-business is closely related to recent developments in web services. The rapid development of web services has led to a demand for a web service discovery mechanism. Though such discovery systems have been developed, there is a lack of support for matching web services which use different ontologies. Moreover, due to the subjectivity in designing ontology, it is difficult to determine the level of satisfaction when concepts are matched. Fuzzy logic theory is therefore used to address this problem. This paper introduces a framework termed FuzMOD that applies fuzzy logic to the discovery of web services that use the same ontology as well as different ontologies.
