Abstract :
The coupling of electromagnetic fields into or out of electric circuits is described. This coupling is described by means of a signal-to-noise-transformation (SNT), which gives the transformation of a wanted signal to unwanted noise. By using the SNT simple quantitative design rules can be developed which can be used to prevent EMC problems and are helpful in getting more insight into coupling phenomena
