Abstract :
The characteristics of autoregressive spectral estimation (ARSE) in range-Doppler imaging are studied with respect to three ARSE algorithms. These are the forward-backward linear prediction (FBLP) algorithm, the Burg algorithm, and the modified forward-backward linear prediction (MFBLP) algorithm. The mathematical interpretations of these algorithms are addressed, and simulation results demonstrating these characteristics for the radar images constructed are presented
