  • Abstract
An attempt is made to analysis the change trend of total cost spent on workers according to the change of workerspsila multi-functionality under the conditions of changeable and unchangeable workerspsila cost in a cellular manufacturing, wherein, workerpsilas multi-functionality refers to the number of machines that can be operated by the worker. The cellular manufacturing as a main productive mode is researched and applied widely, and the researches in the field of cellular manufacturing have gained many effective results when designing layout of a cellular manufacturing, forming a cellular manufacturing and production scheduling. However, the factors considered in former papers mainly relate to improving the grouping of machines and parts, and factors from the HRM viewpoint are considered little. A model of multi-functional workerspsila assignment in cellular manufacturing is established with the objection of minimizing total cost spent on workers, which solves the problem of assigning which worker to which machine of which cell. Pluralities of simulations are obtained to explain the effect to total cost by workerspsila multi-functionality. Results indicates that the total cost decreases accompanying with the increasing of workerspsila multi-functionality under the condition of workerspsila cost unchangeable, and the total cost does not continuously decrease when the increasing of workerspsila multi-functionality accompanying with the increasing of workerspsila cost.
