Abstract
Next wireless network aims to integrate heterogeneous wireless access networks and provide multimedia services for multi-mode terminal calls. A conception of equivalent bandwidth is proposed to describe the calls\´ resources occupation in integrated WLAN/CDMA networks. Based on this concept, a distributed call admission control algorithm is presented for multi-service integrated WLAN/CDMA networks. As the resource is utility expressed, the calls can access the network by means of "self help". Therefore, the scheme has low overhead and can be easily integrated with other algorithms.
